BEXLEY COUNTRY SHOW
TOP PET SHOP took part in the Bexley Country Show at Easter and we would like to say thank you to all our regular customers that came out especially to meet the team.
It was lovely to be able to put faces to names and meet so many wonderful dogs and their owners. We had a fantastic weekend and met many likeminded pet owners of whom have given us some wonderful ideas and suggestions for new products and services we can provide.
The top sellers at the show were definitely; The Top Pet Shop Home baked cookies which were all sold out before the day was done on the third day, That was over two thousand cookies sold!- They contain no artificial colours or preservatives and only fresh top quality human grade ingredients. And due to popular demand we will be looking into doing home baked cat treats in the near future, watch this space....
The orders taken during and after the show have meant that Sarah has only just got out of the kitchen
Cheesy anti-fleas cookies 100% natural ingredients and scares away fleas too!
The Aqua-bowls were a close second, these fantastically designed water bowls save you carrying around separate bowls and bottles; as it is all in one. With the capability of either two litres or four litres and its nice compact design makes this a real must for any dog owner.

When we asked people what sort of thing would they like to see on our news letters; They asked for ideas to keep their pet occupied and out of mischief (as a occupied pet equals a happier pet and owner), so here are a few ideas...

For your pooch
We recommend obtaining a 'Kong' which you can then stuff with all manor of goodies to give your pooch hours of fun. Because you stuff it yourself, the ingredients can be closely monitored so as not to overfeed your loved one with too many naughty things.
Treats are a valuable part of your pets diet and training. However you must give your treats as part of their diet and not as an extra tit-bit!
Remember "Tit-bits mount up on the Hip-bits"
Kong Banana Rama
1 fresh banana
2tbs wheat germ
1tbs plain yogurt (can use your pet's favourite flavour as well)
Any Kong toy that best fits your pet's chewing temperament.
In a bowl, mash up banana. Then, add wheat germ and yogurt. Mash all ingredients together and use spoon to add to Kong. Freeze for 4 hours. Makes 1 serving for medium Kong. Double for every Kong size that is bigger.
We will add more Kong recipe ideas each news letter. If you have any favourites let us know and we will publish the best and send you a goodies bag.
To occupy your feline buddy
Hide and Seek
The snack ball for cat offers hours of fun, ideal to help those porky puddie cats shed a few inches while saving your furniture from any unwanted behaviour.
This is a really great thing to give to an indoor cat, keeping them from getting
bored, giving them exercise and playing to their hunting nature.
All you have to do is to put some of their dry food or treats in the ball. Keep
the ball rolling in front of your cat so that some treats come out. This should
be enough to catch your cat’s interest.
The opening is adjustable to allow different sizes of treats.
Also
try hiding/scattering their dry food all over their scratcher, along window
sills, under small clear plastic pots, in empty kitchen roll tubes, we even
place them on the rungs of the ladder going up into the loft. It really
makes for great fun for the whole family to come up with new hiding places.
(Don't forget to keep an eye that your hiding places are not TOO hard to find!!)

Aquarium news
We are pleased to announce that we now have a aquarium section, which features Vivo's and Biorb's, fun for all the family.
